About this policy

This policy covers Derrick: Oilfield Rotation for Android, published by Evelaina. Derrick is a personal rotation calendar, pay estimator, Hitch Log and ticket wallet. There is no Evelaina account or cloud sync.

Your planning data stays on your device

Derrick stores your primary rotation, imported My Crew snapshot, events, pay settings, confirmed or dismissed Hitch Log entries and text ticket details in private local app storage. Dates, notes, rates, ticket numbers and issuers are not uploaded to Evelaina or Google. The app stores its last verified Google Play entitlement locally. It does not provide an online backup or enable Android cloud backup of this app data.

No advertising or app activity tracking

Derrick contains no Meta SDK, attribution integration, advertising SDK, advertising-ID collection, ads, or separate app analytics or crash-reporting SDK. Google Play Billing has its own operational diagnostics, described below.

Google Play purchases and billing diagnostics

Derrick Pro is an optional lifetime, one-time purchase, not a subscription. Google Play processes payment, purchase ownership checks, acknowledgement and restoration. Derrick does not receive payment-card details or your Google Account email. An iOS purchase does not grant Android Pro.

The Google Play Billing Library sends billing SDK diagnostics to Google, including API results and connection errors, app version, device brand, model, memory and operating-system build information, and a per-client session identifier. Its diagnostic transport also includes network type, locale and country settings, SIM operator and time-zone offset. This supports analysis and improvement of the billing service. Diagnostic collection is automatic while the billing SDK runs; Derrick has no diagnostic opt-out switch. It does not include your rotation, events, ticket contents or pay records. Google handles purchase records and billing diagnostics under Google's Privacy Policy. Internet permission supports these Google Play operations.

Reminders and widgets

Optional notifications are scheduled locally. Crew-change reminders are scheduled for 19:00 local on the evening before a work/home change. Ticket expiry reminders are scheduled for 09:00 local, 90, 30 and 7 days before expiry, independently of the crew-change toggle. Android may delay delivery to save battery. Boot and time-zone receivers renew local schedules. Widget snapshots contain rotation status and, for eligible Pro widgets, pay estimates. Widgets do not display ticket numbers, issuers or notes. Lock-screen notifications use private visibility and may show a ticket name according to your system settings.

You control notification permission and notification visibility through Android Settings. Derrick does not request exact-alarm, location, contacts, calendar, camera, microphone or broad storage permissions.

Sharing and Crew Pass

Sharing is your choice. A rotation PNG, annual PDF, Crew Pass code or QR card, and a Hitch Log CSV or PDF may be sent to the app or person you choose in Android's share sheet. Check the contents before sharing; Hitch Log exports include the confirmed details and notes you entered. Other apps and recipients handle their copies under their own policies.

Crew Pass contains a rotation snapshot, not live synchronization. The join link stores its code in the #c= fragment. Browsers do not send that fragment to the website server. The join page reads it locally to offer an app link and copy action, without advertising or analytics scripts. QR image import uses Android's document picker to read only the image you select and decode it locally. No image is uploaded. Temporary share files are kept in private cache and older copies are removed after seven days when another export is made.

Retention and deletion

You can edit or delete events, Hitch Log entries and tickets in the app. Clearing Derrick's app storage or uninstalling removes its local records; exports you saved or shared elsewhere remain there. Evelaina has no server copy of your planning data to delete. Google controls retention of its purchases and billing diagnostics. If you contact support, your email and the information you send are used to respond.

Google Play Data safety

The Play declaration includes the Billing Library's diagnostic and identifier handling. Local planning and ticket data are not collected by Evelaina. User-directed sharing sends only the export you choose to your chosen recipient.
