By downloading or using Homebound ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Evelaina grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal use, subject to these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
Homebound is a personal planning tool that takes the contract or rotation you enter and shows you your sign-off countdown, your contract on a calendar, upcoming crew-change dates, and whether you'll be home for the dates that matter to you. It is a convenience aid for organizing your own time at sea.
⚠️ Estimates only — confirm with your company. Homebound's countdowns, sign-off and crew-change dates, and "will I be home" answers are planning estimates generated from the contract or rotation you enter. They are not an authoritative schedule. You are responsible for confirming your actual sign-on, sign-off, and relief dates with your company, manning agent, or vessel. Homebound is not liable for missed crew changes, missed travel, or plans made in reliance on its estimates. Always verify against your company's official schedule and articles.
Homebound Pro is an optional one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase (approximately $19.99 USD; prices may vary by region and current pricing is shown in the App). It permanently unlocks the Pro features on your Apple Account. It is not a subscription — there is no recurring charge and nothing to cancel.
You agree not to:
You retain ownership of the data you enter (your contract or rotation, dates, and notes). It is stored on your device. See the Privacy Policy for how your information is handled — in short, Homebound collects nothing.
The App's design, code, and implementation are owned by Evelaina. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App itself without written permission.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that any schedule, date, or countdown it produces will be accurate or match your company's records.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Evelaina shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to missed crew changes, missed travel, scheduling errors, or loss of data due to device failure or App deletion.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The revised version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Evelaina operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
