Homebound ("the App") is a sign-off countdown and crew-change calendar for seafarers, published by Evelaina. This policy explains how the App handles your information. In short: Homebound does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything you enter stays on your device.
Everything you put into Homebound — your contract (sign-on date and length) or rotation pattern, your sign-off and personal dates, and your preferences — is stored only on your device. Homebound has no accounts and no sign-in. Your data is never uploaded to Evelaina, and we have no way to see, access, or retrieve it.
If you enable reminders (for example, a heads-up the evening before you sign off), they are scheduled locally on your device by iOS. No notification data leaves your device or passes through any Evelaina server.
When you choose to share your countdown — as an image or a PDF — Homebound creates the file on your device and hands it to Apple's standard share sheet. You decide where it goes (Messages, Mail, etc.). Nothing is sent to or through Evelaina.
Homebound Pro is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple. Apple handles the payment; Homebound never sees or stores your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs that transaction. Restoring a purchase is handled by Apple on your device.
For reference, the App's App Store privacy label declares Data Not Collected.
Homebound is rated 4+ and collects nothing from anyone, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from any user.
Because your data lives only on your device, deleting the App removes all of it. There is nothing stored on our servers to delete.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
