This policy covers Homebound: Seafarer Calendar for Android, published by Evelaina. The iOS privacy policy covers the iPhone version.

Records stored locally

Homebound stores your contracts, sign-on and relief dates, rotation patterns, followed Homecoming Pass snapshots, Plan dates, service records, vessel particulars, UK-night counts, credential details and notes in private app storage. Preferences and your last verified Pro status are also stored locally. Evelaina does not receive these records.

Android app backup and device-transfer backup are disabled. Keep your own exported copies where needed. We cannot recover records from a lost or cleared device. Homebound does not use a separate app-activity analytics service, advertising SDKs, advertising IDs, location, contacts or your device calendar.

Google Play purchases and diagnostics

Homebound Pro is a one-time purchase through Google Play. The app asks Google Play for product prices and owned purchases, starts purchases when you choose, and acknowledges completed purchases. Purchase tokens and status are exchanged with Google Play to provide and restore Pro. Evelaina does not receive your Google account email, card details or payment credentials. An Apple purchase does not unlock the Android purchase.

The Google Play Billing Library also automatically sends Google technical records about Billing operations, results, errors and connection timing. These can include the app package and version, Billing Library version, device and Android build details, and a randomly generated Billing-client session identifier. Its transport may attach network type, mobile-network information, language, country setting and time-zone offset. There is no Homebound setting to opt out of this Billing SDK reporting. These records help Google operate, diagnose and assess Billing. They do not contain your Homebound schedules, credentials, service records or Plan dates.

Google handles payment information and its own purchase and diagnostic records under the Google Privacy Policy. Google controls retention and available account controls for those records.

Sharing and recovery copies

When you choose to share, Homebound creates a code, link, QR image, schedule image, PDF or CSV locally and opens Android’s share sheet. You choose the receiving app and recipient. Evelaina does not relay or store the shared content; the service you choose applies its own privacy practices.

• A Homecoming Pass includes the sender name and label you enter and a contract or rotation snapshot. It excludes credentials, service records and Plan dates. Its integrity check does not prove the sender’s identity, and it does not provide live updates.
• The next-90-days image shows the schedule. A schedule PDF includes the schedule and applicable Plan dates for the year you select. Service PDF and CSV exports include all confirmed service records other than time-abroad entries, including their vessel particulars and notes. UK SED exports contain calculated periods and day-count totals based on your records and any in-progress schedule.
• A local recovery copy can contain all your records. It is a snapshot file, or an archive of the original database files if the snapshot cannot be read. Keep recovery files private. Creating a copy does not upload it to Evelaina.

Ordinary export files are placed in private temporary app storage. Older files are cleared when another ordinary export is made. Copies saved or sent to other apps remain under your control and are not removed when you delete Homebound.

QR images, reminders and widgets

Choosing a QR image uses Android’s document picker. Homebound reads only the image you select and decodes it on your device. The app does not request camera access or broad photo-library access. Imported passes are previewed before you choose to follow them.

Reminders are scheduled locally, with notification permission where required. Android may delay delivery. Notification text can show a schedule or credential label; credential numbers and notes are excluded. The home-screen widget displays schedule information locally and may show a followed snapshot. Nothing is sent through an Evelaina notification server.

Support

If you email support@evelaina.com, Evelaina receives the address, message and attachments you send and uses them to respond and resolve your request. Avoid sending credential numbers or unnecessary private records. Support messages are kept as needed to handle the request and meet applicable obligations; contact us to request deletion.

Deleting your data

You can remove records in the app. Clearing Homebound’s app storage in Android settings or uninstalling it removes its local records and preferences. Files you have shared or saved elsewhere remain until you delete them there. Evelaina holds no cloud copy of your app records. Google Play purchase records and Pro ownership are managed by Google and are not erased by uninstalling Homebound.

Audience and policy updates

Homebound is intended for adult seafarers and people planning around their schedules. It is not directed at children. We may update this policy as the app changes; the current version and date will appear here.
