These terms govern your use of HifzPath. They are intentionally short and written in plain language. By installing or using HifzPath, you agree to them.
HifzPath is licensed, not sold. Apple grants you the right to install and use the app on devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (Apple's Standard EULA): apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Those terms apply in full alongside this document. Where the two conflict, Apple's Standard EULA controls only as required by Apple's rules; otherwise these terms control.
You may not reverse-engineer the app, redistribute it, or attempt to circumvent the Pro entitlement system.
HifzPath is a tool to help you track your Quran memorization (hifz) and review schedule. It is provided for your personal, non-commercial use.
The Quran text in the app is reproduced from Tanzil.net under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License (CC BY 3.0). Full attribution is shown in the app's About screen. Tanzil's text is used as-is, without modification.
Your data. Your memorization progress is stored on your devices, with optional sync through your own iCloud account, and is never used for advertising. Apple and RevenueCat process your purchases, subscription status and restores. HifzPath sends a basic app-launch signal to Meta to measure our own advertising; if you allow tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, RevenueCat may also send purchase events and device identifiers to Meta for the same purpose. HifzPath does not send client-side purchase, checkout, trial, subscription or restore events itself, and displays no ads. You can withdraw tracking permission at any time in iOS Settings. Full details are in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
HifzPath offers an optional Pro tier with three purchase options:

Local pricing in your country is shown on the in-app paywall and on the App Store listing; the figures above are the U.S. reference prices.
The 7-day free trial is offered once per Apple ID to first-time HifzPath Pro subscribers on the Yearly tier. After the trial, the Yearly subscription begins at $24.99 USD (or local equivalent) and renews annually until cancelled. Cancelling during the trial prevents the first charge.
The Lifetime option is a one-time, non-renewing purchase. It grants the same Pro entitlement as the subscriptions, permanently. Lifetime is offered for a limited window after the v1.2 launch and may be withdrawn from sale at any time. Existing Lifetime purchases are honored regardless of whether the option is still available to new buyers.
Users who purchased the original "HifzPath Pro" one-time option before the introduction of subscription tiers retain Pro access permanently at no further cost. The original purchase continues to grant the Pro entitlement on every device the user signs into with their Apple ID.
Tap Settings → Restore purchases in HifzPath at any time to restore an active subscription or a previous Lifetime purchase on a new device, after a reinstall, or after signing in with a different Apple ID.
Refunds for Apple App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's published refund policy. Request a refund directly through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue or deny refunds on Apple's behalf.
The HifzPath name, brand, app design, source code, mutashabihat dataset, and all original UI text are owned by Evelaina. The Quran text is reproduced under CC BY 3.0 as noted above. SF Symbols are used under Apple's terms.
You may take screenshots of HifzPath for personal use, social sharing, and reviews. You may not redistribute the app's binaries, datasets, or branded assets.
Use HifzPath in good faith for the purpose of tracking your own hifz. Do not attempt to defeat the Pro entitlement system, distribute modified copies of the app, or use the app's data sources to build competing products.
HifzPath is a hifz aid, not a teacher and not a religious authority. It schedules your reviews and surfaces similar verses for practice; it does not certify your memorization, replace the guidance of a qualified teacher, or substitute for traditional sanad. Use the app to support your hifz, not to define it.
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Spaced repetition and the mutashabihat dataset are best-effort tools and may contain errors; report any issue to support@evelaina.com and we will correct it in a future update.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Evelaina is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of HifzPath. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you have paid for HifzPath in the twelve months preceding the claim.
This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded under your local consumer-protection law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the applicable national laws of the EU Member State in which Evelaina is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of these terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of that EU Member State, except where mandatory EU or local consumer-protection law gives you, as a consumer, the right to bring proceedings in the EU Member State of your habitual residence.
We may update these terms when product features, pricing, or applicable laws change. The current version is always at this URL with a "Last updated" date at the top. If a change materially affects your subscription, we will surface a notice in the app's release notes.
