By downloading or using Gaimen ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
Gaimen is a study aid for Japan's foreign driver's-license conversion (外免切替) tests. It provides a recommended daily study plan, original practice questions, timed mock exams, topic drills, scheduled review, and explanations for the written knowledge test, plus a Driving section with practice scenarios, safety routines, a deduction rulebook, and course guides for the practical skills-confirmation test (技能確認). The App is for study and self-assessment only.
Gaimen is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the National Police Agency, any prefectural police, or any government or licensing authority. Practice questions are original, written from public traffic-law sources, and are not the official test questions. Test content, procedures, and available languages may differ by license center and may change over time. Passing the practice exams in the App does not guarantee that you will pass the official test. Always confirm current requirements with official sources.
The content of the App is general study material about road rules, not legal advice. For authoritative interpretation of traffic law or your eligibility, consult official sources or a qualified professional.
Your study progress, results, and review schedule are stored on your device. You retain control of this data; deleting the App removes it. The App also shares a limited set of device, app-event, and purchase data with Meta for advertising measurement, uses RevenueCat to report and analyse purchases and measure Apple Ads attribution, and asks your permission to track after first-run setup — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what is shared and how to opt out.
You may use Gaimen for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
Gaimen offers optional one-time purchases. "Gaimen Pro" unlocks everything — the full written question bank, unlimited mock exams, scheduled review, all explanations, and Driving. "Driving" unlocks the Driving section on its own; Apple's purchase sheet and receipts list it as "Practical Test". A Driving purchase is not credited toward a later Gaimen Pro purchase. Current prices are shown in the App and vary by region. These are one-time purchases, not subscriptions — there is no recurring charge.
The App's design, code, and its original question bank and translations are owned by Evelaina. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App or its content without written permission. Your personal study data is yours.
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. While we make a serious effort to keep the questions accurate and up to date, we do not warrant that the content is error-free, complete, or that it matches the current official test. The App is not a substitute for official study materials.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Evelaina shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to test outcomes, decisions made based on the App's content, or loss of data due to device failure or App deletion.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The revised version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Evelaina operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
