Your Shadow is a psychological self-awareness tool that provides personality assessments based on the Short Dark Triad (SD3) and the Experiences in Close Relationships - Revised (ECR-R) instruments. The App is designed for personal reflection and self-awareness only.
Your Shadow is not a diagnostic tool and does not provide clinical, therapeutic, or medical advice. Assessment results are based on validated psychological instruments but are derived from self-report data, not clinical evaluation. The App is not a substitute for professional mental health services. If you are experiencing psychological distress, contact a licensed mental health professional.
You retain full ownership of all data you create using the App, including assessment results, third-party profiles, and conversation text submitted for analysis. Your assessment data and profiles are stored exclusively on your device. Conversation text submitted to Shadow Lens is processed by a third-party AI service to generate the analysis and is not stored by Evelaina.
The App allows you to create personality profiles of other people based on your observations. These profiles reflect your subjective perception and are not clinical assessments of those individuals. You are responsible for how you use and interpret third-party profile data. Do not use profiles to harass, manipulate, or harm others.

The Shadow Lens feature uses artificial intelligence to analyze conversation text in the context of personality profiles. AI-generated analyses are for reflective purposes only and may not accurately represent the intentions, emotions, or motivations of any person in the conversation. Do not rely on AI analyses as a basis for significant relationship decisions.
The App's design, code, scoring algorithms, report templates, and analysis prompts are owned by Evelaina. Your assessment data and written content are yours. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App itself without written permission.
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular purpose. Assessment results and AI analyses are provided for self-awareness and reflection, not as validated clinical output.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Evelaina shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to decisions made based on assessment results or AI analyses, loss of data due to device failure or App deletion, or any interpersonal consequences of using third-party profiles or conversation analyses.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The revised version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
