By downloading or using RenterShield ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Not Legal Advice

RenterShield provides general legal information about tenant rights by state for educational and reference purposes only. The App does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or attorney-client relationships. The information may not reflect the most recent legal developments and may not apply to your specific situation. For legal advice, consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.

Letter Templates

The demand letters, repair requests, and complaint letters generated by RenterShield are templates based on general legal principles. They are starting points — not guaranteed legal documents. You are responsible for reviewing, customizing, and verifying the accuracy of any letter before sending it. RenterShield does not guarantee that any generated letter will achieve a specific legal outcome.

Use of the App

You may use RenterShield for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Redistribute or resell the App or its content.
• Rely solely on the App as your only source of legal information.

Subscriptions and Payments

RenterShield offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase that unlock additional features. Purchases are billed through your Apple ID account.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• The lifetime purchase is a one-time payment with no recurring charges.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Prices may vary by region and are subject to change. Current pricing is displayed in the App.

Accuracy of Information

Tenant rights laws vary by state, county, and city, and change over time. While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, we do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or currency of any legal information in the App. Always verify critical legal information with official state or local government sources.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and legal summaries in RenterShield are owned by Evelaina. Letters you generate using your personal information are yours. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App itself or its template content without written permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular purpose. Legal information is provided for general reference only and carries no guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or applicability to your situation.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Evelaina shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to any legal outcomes resulting from letters generated using the App or reliance on legal information displayed in the App.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The revised version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
