Overview

RenterShield ("the App") is published by Evelaina. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights.

Data We Collect

RenterShield collects and stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Personal and lease information — your name, address, landlord name, lease dates, and other details you enter for letter auto-fill. Stored in on-device storage. Never transmitted to any server.
• State selection — the state you select to view tenant rights. Stored locally.
• Generated letters — demand letters and other documents you create. Stored locally on your device.
• App preferences — onboarding completion status and display preferences. Stored locally.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your data beyond what you voluntarily enter into the App.
• We do not collect location data or automatically detect your state.
• We do not access your photos, contacts, calendar, or any other personal data.
• We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party SDKs that collect personal data.
• We do not upload any data to external servers.

On-Device Processing

All tenant rights lookups, letter generation, and PDF creation are performed entirely on your device. No data is sent to any server for processing. The legal information displayed is bundled within the App itself.

PDF Export

When you export a letter as a PDF, the file is generated locally on your device. The PDF is shared using your device's native sharing functionality. RenterShield does not retain, upload, or have access to exported files.

Subscriptions and Payments

RenterShield offers optional in-app subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase, managed through Apple's App Store. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information. Subscription management (including cancellation) is available through your Apple ID settings.

Third-Party Services

The App uses RevenueCat to manage subscription and purchase entitlements. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID to verify subscription status. No personally identifiable information or letter content is shared. You can review RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Children's Privacy

RenterShield does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App is intended for adult renters and tenants.

Data Deletion

All data is stored locally on your device. To delete all RenterShield data, simply delete the App from your device. This permanently removes all stored personal information, letters, and preferences.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
