Overview

Orison ("the App") is published by Evelaina. Orison is a private daily prayer practice, and privacy is part of its design. In short: Orison has no account and no server of its own, and everything you write stays on your device — or, if you choose to sync, in your own private iCloud. Nothing you pray is ever sent to us.

Data We Collect

Orison collects and stores the following data on your device:

• Your prayers — the titles, people, notes, and answer notes you write for the prayers you carry. Stored in on-device storage.
• Prayer session history — a record of the days you completed a prayer session, used to show your gentle rhythm. Stored on-device.
• App preferences — your reminder time, Face ID lock setting, and onboarding status. Stored locally.

We do not collect this data — it never reaches us. It lives on your device, and (with Orison Pro) in your own private iCloud, as described below.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• There is no account and no sign-in — we do not collect your name, email, or any identity information.
• We do not collect location, contacts, calendar, or photos.
• We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, advertising identifiers, or third-party SDKs that collect personal data.
• We do not have a server of our own, and we never upload your prayers, notes, or history to us.

iCloud Sync (Orison Pro)

Orison Pro is an optional one-time purchase that lets your prayers sync across your own devices. When it is enabled, your prayers are stored in your personal, private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. This data lives in your own iCloud — not on any server operated by Evelaina. We have no server and no ability to read the prayers in your private iCloud. Without Orison Pro, Orison stores everything on your device only and syncs nothing.

Face ID and App Lock

You can optionally lock the App behind Face ID (or your device passcode). This uses Apple's on-device authentication. Your biometric data never leaves your device and is never seen by the App or by us — Orison only receives a success or failure result from the system.

Reminders and Notifications

You can optionally schedule one gentle daily reminder to pray. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device; no reminder is ever sent from a server. The reminder text is deliberately content-free — it never contains Scripture or the contents of your prayers, so nothing private appears on your lock screen.

Payments

Orison offers an optional one-time purchase, Orison Pro, managed entirely through Apple's App Store using Apple's StoreKit. Payment processing is handled by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment information. Orison does not use RevenueCat or any third-party purchase or analytics service. Purchases can be managed through your Apple ID settings.

Scripture Content

The Scripture shown each day is bundled inside the App from the World English Bible, which is in the public domain. Displaying it requires no network connection and sends no data anywhere.

Children's Privacy

Orison does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App collects no personal information and has no account, it does not gather identifying data from users of any age.

Data Deletion

All of your prayers are under your control. You can delete individual prayers, or remove all prayer data at once, from within the App's Settings. Deleting the App from your device permanently removes all data stored on that device. If you use Orison Pro sync, removing the App and turning off its iCloud data removes the synced copy from your iCloud.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
