OET Prep ("the App") is published by Evelaina for adults preparing for the Occupational English Test. This policy covers the iOS and Android apps. You do not create an OET Prep account. Your study work is stored on your device; online purchase services separately process the information needed to provide and restore Pro access.
OET Prep collects and stores the following data locally on your device only:
Practice, answer-key comparison, self-assessment, recording and playback happen on your device. Listening and Reading results show raw correct/total counts. Writing and Speaking use self-assessment. Nothing is graded by AI. The practice content and reference material are bundled within the App. Purchase verification and restoration use the online services described below.
Speaking practice optionally uses the microphone so you can record and play back your own answers. Recordings stay on your device and are never uploaded by the App. If you decline microphone access, you can still read the role-play and practise without recording. You can delete recordings individually or all together in Settings.
OET Prep offers optional Pro purchases through the store used to obtain the App. Apple processes App Store payments and Google Play processes Android payments. The App does not receive your payment card details. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings or Google Play, as applicable. A store account and an internet connection may be needed for purchases, restoration and current purchase-status checks. App Store purchases do not transfer to Android.
The App uses RevenueCat to determine, restore and update Pro access. RevenueCat processes transaction and product information, purchase or subscription status and an app-specific anonymous identifier. App, platform and locale information can accompany purchase-service requests. This identifier is pseudonymous, not an advertising identifier. RevenueCat may process purchase information for purchase analytics and to operate its service. Your study work is not sent to RevenueCat. Purchase-service communications use encryption in transit.

The Android app disables RevenueCat's automatic device identifier collection and does not set your name, email address, phone number or a person-linked custom account ID as RevenueCat customer attributes. It has no advertising SDK or separate app-level crash-reporting upload. A limited local event log records paywall, locked-feature and purchase events, retains up to 500 events, and is not uploaded.
Android also stores vocabulary progress, exam date, regulator and reminder preferences in private app storage. Optional study notifications are scheduled locally. Android cloud backup and device-transfer backup are disabled for app data. Bundled clinical scenarios are fictional English-language exercises, not your medical records.
The Google Play Billing Library also automatically sends Google technical information about billing operations, results, errors and connection timing. This includes app and library versions, device and Android build details, and a randomly generated Billing-client session identifier. The reporting transport can attach network and locale information. These records help Google operate and analyse Billing. The App does not offer a setting to turn off this Billing SDK reporting. These diagnostics do not include your drafts, recordings or practice answers. Google handles this information under its privacy policy.
Opening an external reference, support site or Medicine waitlist opens your browser; the destination's privacy rules apply. Feedback opens your email app, and you choose whether and what to send. Evelaina uses information you include in support messages to respond to and handle your request. Avoid sending passwords, payment card numbers or unnecessary private information.
OET Prep does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App is intended for adult healthcare professionals and students preparing for the Occupational English Test.
You can delete recordings and drafts within the App. Removing the App or clearing its storage removes local study data, including practice history, recordings, drafts and preferences. Files saved outside the App remain under your control.
Uninstalling does not delete purchase records held by Apple, Google Play or RevenueCat. Purchase-related records are retained separately to validate access and operate purchase services, and providers may retain records under their policies and legal obligations. For questions about purchase-data retention or deletion, contact support@evelaina.com. A Google Play order reference may help identify an Android purchase; never send a password or payment card number. Removing app data is separate from cancelling a subscription.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
