Derrick: Oilfield Rotation

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 14, 2026

Overview

Derrick ("the App") is an oilfield rotation and hitch tracker, published by Evelaina. Derrick is local-first: the rotation, dates, pay settings, and My Crew data you enter remain on your device. Beginning with version 1.4.0, Derrick includes Meta's SDK so Evelaina can measure whether its own advertisements lead to app installs and purchases. Derrick still displays no ads.

Information processed for attribution

Derrick sends limited app-event and attribution information to Meta for third-party advertising measurement and analytics. Events include app activation, completing the initial rotation setup, viewing the Derrick Pro paywall, starting a purchase, and completing a verified purchase. Purchase events include the product, value, currency, and time; Derrick does not send your Apple payment details.

Meta's SDK may process device and app information, device identifiers such as IDFA when permitted, IP address, advertising and attribution information, product interaction, and purchase history. Our App Store privacy label declares Device ID, Purchase History, Product Interaction, and Advertising Data as linked to you and used for tracking for third-party advertising and analytics.

App Tracking Transparency

Derrick asks for permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. If you allow tracking, iOS permits use of the advertising identifier and Meta can use eligible event data for advertiser tracking and campaign optimization. If you decline, Derrick remains fully functional and does not receive access to IDFA. The SDK may still send limited app events without IDFA, and Apple may provide aggregate attribution through SKAdNetwork. You can change this choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

What stays on your device

Your rotation pattern, crew-change and personal dates, pay settings, My Crew companion snapshots, and preferences are stored on your device. Derrick has no account or sign-in, and Evelaina operates no server that receives this data. The Home-Screen and Lock-Screen widgets read only the on-device rotation snapshot. This rotation, pay, and crew data is not sent to Meta.

Notifications

If you enable reminders (for example, an upcoming crew change), iOS schedules them locally on your device. Derrick uses no push-notification server, and reminder content is not sent to Meta.

Purchases

Derrick Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. Apple handles payment and refunds; Evelaina does not receive your payment-card or Apple Account credentials. Derrick sends Meta a verified purchase event containing the product, value, currency, and time for advertising attribution. Restoring a purchase changes entitlement only and does not create a new Meta purchase event. Apple's privacy policy governs Apple's transaction processing.

Third parties

Apple processes App Store purchases and aggregate SKAdNetwork attribution under Apple's privacy policy. Meta receives the attribution information described above to measure and optimize Evelaina's advertising. Meta's collection, retention, use, and deletion practices are governed by Meta's Privacy Policy at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/. Derrick does not integrate another analytics or advertising SDK and does not display third-party ads.

Information Derrick does not ask for

Derrick does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, postal address, Apple Account credentials, contacts, photos, microphone, precise location, or coarse location. It does not send your rotation pattern, calendar dates, pay figures, My Crew imports, or reminder content to Meta.

Children's Privacy

Derrick is rated 4+ and is not specifically directed to children under 13. It does not ask any user for contact information or account credentials. Apple's operating-system rules determine whether App Tracking Transparency permission can be requested on a device; when iOS does not permit tracking, Derrick does not receive IDFA. Contact us if you have a concern about a child's use of the App.

Data controls, deletion, and retention

You can withdraw tracking permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Deleting Derrick removes its local data and attribution ledger from that device. Evelaina has no Derrick account or server profile to look up by your name or email. Apple retains purchase records under Apple's policies, and Meta retains attribution data under Meta's policies; deleting the App does not itself delete records those companies are legally or operationally required to retain. Requests concerning Meta-held data should follow Meta's Privacy Policy. You may also contact support@evelaina.com and we will respond to a privacy request we can act on.

App Store Privacy Label

The App Store privacy label for Derrick declares Device ID, Purchase History, Product Interaction, and Advertising Data as linked to you and used for tracking for third-party advertising and analytics.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices or legal obligations change. The current version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
