DecodeRx is provided strictly as an educational reference for pharmacogenomics, drawn from publicly available clinical guidelines. The App is not a medical device, not a diagnostic tool, and not a clinical decision support system.
The App does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Information presented in the App is not a substitute for professional medical judgment. Use of DecodeRx does not create a clinician-patient relationship between you and the App's authors or distributors. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding medication choices, dosing, contraindications, and any decision based on a pharmacogenomic test result.
DecodeRx contains a curated, offline reference library of medications and the genes that affect their metabolism, paraphrased from peer-reviewed pharmacogenomic clinical practice guidelines published by the Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium (CPIC) and similar public sources. The App does not analyze DNA, generate personalized reports, or recommend a treatment plan. If you choose to enter a metabolizer status from a separate pharmacogenomic test, the App filters the bundled reference content against that status — it does not produce new clinical recommendations.
You may use DecodeRx for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
DecodeRx is free. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no advertising, and no upsells inside the App.
Pharmacogenomic guidelines are updated periodically. While we strive to keep the App's reference content accurate and current with peer-reviewed sources, we do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or currency of any information in the App. Content reflects what was current at the time of the most recent App release and may lag behind the latest publications. Always verify critical information with the original source guidelines and a licensed clinician.
DecodeRx is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by CPIC, PharmGKB, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration, or any other organization referenced in the App. References to those organizations are made for citation and educational purposes only.
The App can generate a Pharmacogenomic Reference Card (PDF) summarizing the phenotypes you have entered. This card is for personal, educational use. It is not a clinical test result, not a medical record, and is not intended to substitute for documentation issued by a healthcare provider or accredited laboratory.
All content, design, and code in DecodeRx are owned by Evelaina, with the exception of public-domain or freely available source content (such as CPIC guidelines), which is paraphrased under fair use for educational purposes. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App or its bundled content without written permission.
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular purpose. Pharmacogenomic information is provided for general educational reference only and carries no guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or applicability to your individual situation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Evelaina shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to any health outcomes resulting from reliance on information displayed in the App or contained in any reference card generated by the App.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The revised version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
